Leading by Example in Sustainable Golf

Tanah Merah Country Club (TMCC) has become the first golf course in Singapore to adopt robotic mowing technology, marking an important milestone in its sustainability journey.

The initiative begins at the club house surroundings, where robotic mowers are now maintaining turf with lower noise, zero on site emissions, and improved operational efficiency. This first phase reflects TMCC’s commitment to reducing carbon footprint, enhancing the member experience, and exploring smarter and cleaner maintenance practices.

Beyond environmental benefits, robotic mowing supports consistent turf quality, safer daytime operations, and reduced reliance on fuel powered equipment. Following this initial rollout, TMCC is assessing opportunities to expand robotic mowing into broader areas of the course as part of its long term sustainability roadmap.

”We have been trialling robotic mowing for some time and have seen that it plays a meaningful role in our sustainability initiatives. Beyond reducing emissions and noise, it also allows us to rethink how maintenance can be carried out more efficiently while maintaining the standards our members expect.”
