Smart Mowing for Singapore's Landscapes
Updated: Sep 14

Singapore’s landscaping industry continues to face manpower constraints while maintaining large green spaces remains labour-intensive and time-consuming. Robotic mowing offers a practical way to reduce the burden of repetitive mowing work, allowing landscaping teams to operate more efficiently and focus their manpower on tasks that still require human skill and attention.
For more complex landscapes, the Kress EyePilot 4×4 combines RTKⁿ positioning with Stereo Vision AI and V-SLAM to navigate accurately around trees, buildings and other obstacles. Its multi-layered navigation system allows the mower to maintain reliable operation even when satellite signals are partially obstructed, while its 4×4 drive system helps it handle slopes and uneven terrain. This makes it well suited for Singapore’s dense and built-up environments, where landscaping conditions are often more challenging than an open lawn.
For larger landscaping operations, the Kress Voyager KR800 takes autonomous mowing to commercial ride-on scale. After a one-time mapping process, Voyager can operate independently across large areas while using cameras, ultrasonic sensors and LiDAR to detect and respond to its surroundings. With up to eight hours of runtime and coverage of up to 28,000 m² per charge, it is designed to reduce the manpower needed for repetitive large-area mowing and support more efficient landscape maintenance.
With solutions ranging from compact autonomous mowers to full-scale commercial platforms, Kress is helping reshape how landscape maintenance can be carried out. By automating repetitive mowing work across different site conditions and scales, robotic mowing can support landscaping teams in working more efficiently while making better use of limited manpower.
